Review: BareMinerals Pop of Passion Lip Oil-Balm

Hi everyone! Today I am going to review the NEW BareMinerals Pop of Passion Lip Oil-Balm. I picked up two colors: Punch Pop and Peach Passion.

What it is: An oil infused lip balm – with passion fruit seed oil and Vitamin E. There are a total of 8 shades.

How much: $16.00 per balm.

Where: I picked mine up at Ulta, but they can also be found at Sephora or directly from BareMinerals.

Peach Passion

Punch pop

My thoughts: I love how this feels! The balm is very moisturizing, but is still pretty pigmented. When I bought these, I thought they would be pretty sheer, but they are definitely not! It is just the perfect amount of color! Peach passion is better for everyday wear, but I can’t wait to wear Punch pop in the summer!! As far as staying power, these do transfer a bit, and I have to touch up often. That being said, they do leave a bit of a stain behind on the lips as well. Overall I am loving these! They are great for days when I don’t want a lipstick or lipgloss. My lips have been very dry lately and these are prefect for moisturizing them! And not to mention, the color lineup is so pretty for spring and summer!

Let me know if you have tried these yet, and what your favorite color is!

Floral Friday!

Happy Friday everyone!! Even though it is technically spring right now….today is very gloomy and cold 😦 So to make me feel better, I’m obsessing over floral prints and making a wish list! This trend seems to be everywhere right now, and I think it is just too cute! All of these items are great to pair with a basic top/outfit, and the floral print adds just the right amount of pop! Not to mention, all of these are easily found online and they are all under $50!!
What are your thoughts on floral prints? What are you excited to wear this spring??

BOXYCHARM – March 2015

If you have never heard of Boxycharm, it is a monthly subscription box that contains 4-5 full size beauty products. The box costs $21/month and is worth every penny!!

Click here to check out Boxycharm!

IMG_3399 These are the products I received in my March Boxycharm this month! Each box has a theme, and this month is “Lucky Charm”…how perfect!!

LVX Nail Lacquer – $16.00: I have never tried this brand, but this is such a fun color and I can’t wait to wear it this spring! I got the color ‘lemon drop’…other charmers will get either ‘lemondrop’, ‘mynt’, or ‘deco’.

Ofra Eyeliner – $13.00: I got this eyeliner in the color ‘light beige’. I would probably never wear this on my upper lids, but I think it will look really nice in the lower water line. A light color (as opposed to black) helps to open up your eyes and make them look brighter. Excited to try this!

Previse Nutrify Universal Tonic – $48.00: I have not yet tried this out, but it is supposed to help hydrate skin. I will definitely be trying this out!

Tarte LipSurgence lip tint – $24.00: I have tried one of these before, and I love it! They go on so creamy and have a minty smell/taste. The color I got in my box is ‘charmed’ and it is the most perfect pink for spring!

Oscar Blandi Dry Shampoo – $11.00: I have never tried this brand either, but I do love dry shampoo! It is a lifesaver when I don’t want to wash my hair everyday! This has a nice smell to it too which I appreciate!

Total value: $112.00!! That’s insane!! Overall, I think this a great box! I love everything I got and can’t wait to try it all out!

Do you get Boxycharm? what did you think of this month’s box?!

Saturday OOTD

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a great week…its finally SATURDAY!! and more importantly, its officially SPRING! I am so ready to put winter behind me and see what this spring and summer has in store for me!

I have nothing planned for this weekend, so I hope to just relax and see what happens. On spring weekend days, I just like to dress comfortably. My go to: jeans and t-shirt (so comfy!), but it can look kind of boring. My solution: statement necklace. I love how a nice statement necklace looks with just a plain tee and jeans. This necklace is from Meijer, which is a local grocery store in my area. Unfortunately, this is not available online, so I can’t link it 😦 but I have found some similar ones for you (here) and (here). If you do have a Meijer near you, they have a ton of super cute jewelry out right now! Go check it out!

I hope you all have a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by, I hope to see you again soon!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!

St. Patrick's Day
Happy St. Patrick’s Day everyone! Whether you are Irish or not, it is customary to wear green on this day (unless you want to get pinched!). I created these two looks as inspiration for St. Patty’s Day!

If you are choosing not to go out to celebrate the holiday (because it is in the middle of the week), the daytime look might be your choice. This outfit is super easy to put together, and most of us probably already have these basic pieces. Its perfect for hanging around with friends or running errands.

If you are going out to celebrate, or if you need a dressier way to incorporate green for work, the nighttime outfit is great! This outfit shows how easy it is to take a couple of simple pieces and really jazz it up with accessories.

The best part about these outfits?? They are so affordable…that’s always a plus for me!

I hope you enjoyed my St. Patrick’s Day inspired looks, and whatever you choose to do to celebrate, HAVE FUN and be safe!!

Spring must-haves

Hi everyone, I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! Welcome to my first blog post, eek! I am so excited to have started this blog as a way to share my love of fashion, beauty, lifestyle and more! Winter has kept me inside and I have been going a little stir-crazy…so I thought what better way to release some of my creativity?!? To get started, I’m going to share with you some of my must-have items for spring.

We are finally breaking free from winter and spring is starting to arrive, so its time to freshen up our wardrobe! These items all make me feel ‘happy’ and in the mood for spring.

1) A bright purse is an absolute must! I got this one from Target (last year), but don’t worry, they have a brand new batch of colors this year (here) and (here)! This purse is perfect because it is big enough to fit exactly what I need, and the bright blue just brightens everything up!

2) It’s not quite sandal weather yet, but the boots HAVE to go! I love this pair of espadrilles, they are quick and easy to throw on (and comfortable too)! find them here.

3) One of my favorite thing about spring is when the scents begin to change. I recently picked up this travel spray from bath and body works (here) and oh boy does it smell great! The scent is “love and sunshine”, and how fitting is that!? It is the perfect combination of fresh, floral, and citrus!

4) The gray winter skies are starting to fade, and we are finally seeing the SUN (quite possibly my favorite part!). So…a new pair of sunglasses is definitely a must have! The ‘mirrored’ look is very on trend right now, and this pair is so stylish! I’m also not one to spend a ton of money of sunglasses as they usually get tossed in my purse and scratched! I found this inexpensive pair from Kohls (here).

5) Last, but certainly not least, every girl must have a bright lip color for spring! This one is ‘Too faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick’ in ‘melted fig’. This color is the most perfect purple/mauve and it adds just the right amount of color! These lipsticks are so amazing, they go on so smooth and creamy, and last a long time on the lips! find this color and more here!

I hope you enjoyed my spring essentials! Thank you for checking them out, and stop by soon for more posts!
