December Boxycharm

The theme of my December Boxycharm is ‘Pop Fizz Clink’ and it is supposed to be the 1920’s themed. I think it is a perfect theme for the holiday season! Also, this month, instead of the usual 5 products, we got 6 products! Let’s dive right in!

TATCHA Petal Fresh Original Aburatorigami – Full Size – $12

IMG_0724 2

I had no clue what this was at first, but I learned that they are oil-blotting sheets made from 100% natural abaca leaf. I have not used these yet because my skin is so very dry in the winter and does not get too oily. However, these will come in handy in the summer when I get more oily!

Nelson J Argan Oil 7 Moisture Healing Mask – Full Size – $25

IMG_0719 2

This is a hair mask that is made from 100% argan oil and is supposed to be great for damaged or dry hair. I am really excited to try this out, and I love the coconut smell!

Jelly Pong Pong All Over Glow – Full size – $15.95

IMG_0720 2

This is a really pretty champagne cream highlight. It looks very pretty and gives such a nice glow!

Bella Pierre Waterproof Gel Lip Liner – Full Size – $17.99

IMG_0722 2

This color of this liner is “cinnamon” and it is a really pretty brownish color with just a hint of red tone. This goes on very smooth and creamy, which is great!

OFRA Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick – Full Size – $19.90

IMG_0721 2

I was most excited about this product! I have been wanting to try these and have heard really great things! The color is just my style, a brownish/pink.

NCLA So Rich Cuticle Oil – Full Size – $18

IMG_0723 2

I actually don’t have any cuticle oil right now, so I am excited to get this. The vitamin E and sunflower seed oil are supposed to be very nourishing and moisturizing. Excited to make this part of my mani routine!

All in all, I am really happy with this box (might be one of the best in a while)! Let me know what you thought of this box, and if you haven’t tried boxy charm yet, you need to! (no, I am not paid to say that, and I pay for this myself!). Click HERE to check it out!

Have a great day!

Stitch Fix #3!

Hello everyone! The holidays are over, and I am back with some new blog posts! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday! I told myself I wouldn’t schedule a Fix until after Christmas, but I got an email from Stitch Fix saying that if I scheduled a fix before Christmas, I would get my $20 styling fee waived, so of course, I had to! This is my 3rd fix, and I’m excited to show you what I got!

IMG_0541 2

My stylist was Carolyn (who I’ve never had before), and she really did a good job! I can tell by her note that she really looked at my Pinterest and my notes.

If you haven’t tried Stitch Fix before, you pay a $20 styling fee, and your stylist selects 5 items for you to try! You pay for what you like, and send back what you don’t! It is super easy and fun, with no hassle of going out shopping! Feel free to use my referral link if you would like to check it out for yourself! click HERE

41Hawthorn ‘Presley Colorblock Button-Back Sweater’ – $68.00

I actually put in my stylist note that I liked the button-back trend, so I was excited to see this! I love the colors together, and think it will be perfect for any time of the  year. And then, of course,  I love the detail of the buttons down the back! This is super comfy and fit me very well!

Verdict: KEEP

Market & Spruce ‘Corinna Striped Dolman Top’ – $48.00

Photo on 12-19-15 at 9.01 PM

I had mixed feelings about this top! I love the stripes, and it was super comfy! But at the same time, it felt a little baggy on me and felt like something I could get from any store. I was really torn on what to do, and then I noticed a hole in the seam of the right arm, and that was my decision to send it back.

Verdict: RETURNED

Alice Blue ‘Sunbury V-Neck Blouse’ – $48.00

Photo on 12-19-15 at 9.03 PM

This blouse is definitely not something I would have ever picked out for myself. I liked the soft material, and the way it fit, except it was just slightly short on me so when I moved my arms, by midriff showed. If it weren’t for that, I would have kept it!

Verdict: RETURNED

Honey Punch ‘Layla Elbow Patch Detail Cardigan’ – $48.00

This is exactly my style! This cardigan is so soft and comfy, and I love the striped and elbow patches for a little extra detail. The size they sent me felt just a little big and it almost made me look frumpy. Luckily, I contacted customer service, and they are sending me the smaller size in exchange!

Verdict: KEEP

Octavia ‘Sutra Open Knit Infinity Scarf’ – $34.00

Photo on 12-19-15 at 9.05 PM #2

This scarf is super soft and comfy, but I feel like it is exactly like other scarves I already own! Otherwise, I totally would have kept this! This is no fault on the stylist’s part, because it is something I would wear!

Verdict: RETURNED

I hope you enjoyed seeing what I got in my latest Fix! I am really happy with what I got!

(please note that I purchase this myself, and I am not paid to share my thoughts)

Have a great week!

Christmas Lips!

Hi everyone! Can you believe Christmas is just two days away?!? In the spirit of Christmas, today I am sharing my favorite red lip products! It took me a long time to get into wearing red lips (I’m much more of a neutral gal), but this time of the year is the perfect time to wear those red lips! I have 5 lip products, ranging from gloss to lipstick, so keep on reading!

They’re Real! Tinted Lash Primer

Hi everyone! Happy Monday! Today I am sharing a first impression/mini review of a new product! It is the Benefit They’re Real! Tinted Lash Primer. I received a free deluxe size sample and so far I am really liking it! This promo is still going on at Sephora.com, just use the code MINKLASH and get it free with any $25 purchase! (I am in no way sponsored or paid to share this, I just simply want to share it with you)!

FullSizeRender 30

Aside from the free deluxe sample, the full size product will be  available at Sephora and Ulta very soon! Claims: A mink-brown lash primer that tints, defines, and primes lashes for a natural, feathery look—plus, it can be paired with your favorite mascara for boosted length and separation – Sephora

I have always been a huge fan of the original They’re real mascara, so I was excited to try this! I have worn this by itself several times in the past few days, and I love the natural look that it gives me. There are days when I just want a simple look and this tinted primer makes my lashes look long and natural, but not like I am wearing mascara. As the claim mentions, it also goes great underneath mascara, and gives it just a little something extra. One thing I noticed that I LOVE, is that it doesn’t come off onto my eyelids like some mascaras often do. Usually when I work I do not wear eyeshadow, so if my lids get oily even a little, my mascara rubs off on my lids. This doesn’t!

I am excited to keep using this, and I may consider buying the full size sometime! Let me know if you have tried this yet, and if you haven’t, be sure to check out the free sample!

December Ipsy Bag!

Hi everyone, welcome back! Can you believe there are less than 10 days until Christmas?!? Last night I came home to my Ipsy bag, and was so excited to tear into it! I am going to share what I got, but please note I have not had time to try these out, so this is just a first impression! Here we go!

FullSizeRender 25

First off, I LOVE the actual bag…  it is just so cute and festive looking! The theme this month is “For you with love”.

FullSizeRender 26

IT Cosmetics “Hello Lashes” 5-in-1 Mascara: I have never tried this, but it looks interesting and has a strange “ball” on the applicator, so I am curious to see how this works!

FullSizeRender 28

Caudalie Vinosource S.O.S. Thirst Quenching Serum: I tried this just on my hand, and it is a very thin, liquid consistency. The directions say to apply before moisturizer, which I have never seen before! Curious to try this out!

FullSizeRender 27

Julie G. Nail Color in “Pin up girl”: I have never tried this brand of nail polish, but this color is absolutely gorgeous! The perfect pink/red! Can’t wait to try it out!

FullSizeRender 29

IMG_0445

Pacifica Power of Love Natural Lipstick in “Tender Heart”: This is a beautiful nude/natural color and can either be sheer or built up a bit more. I think I’m most excited about this product!

FullSizeRender 24

Briogeo Curl Charisma Leave-in Creme: Since I have naturally curly hair, i am really excited to try this out! I’m always looking for new products that help give me the perfect curl 🙂

That’s everything! I’m excited to give everything a try! This was really a great bag, but the products I am most excited about are the mascara, lipstick, and curl creme!

What exciting products did you get this month?

If you haven’t checked out Ipsy, you can do so here! For just $10/month, you get 5 sample products (some are full size!)

GlamGlow Poutmud!

Hi everyone! How was your weekend? Hope you are all doing well and enjoying the holiday season! Today I am sharing a new product with you that has been saving my lips this winter! My lips get so dry, but I love to wear lipstick and liquid lipsticks just like anyone else! But I hate the way it can look if my lips are dry/flaky. I picked up this set from GLAMGLOW during the Sephora VIB sale and it has been perfect for my lips! If you haven’t ever tried anything from GLAMGLOW, I have loved everything I’ve tried so far!

s1744812-main-zoom.jpg

This set is sold out on Sephora.com but can still be found at Glamglow website (here). The packaging is super fun and you get two silver “balls”. One is the exfoliating treatment, and the other is the lip balm treatment. These do have a slightly minty smell, so if you don’t like that, these may not be for you.

IMG_0317

Simply use the exfoliating side first (seen on the left), and I let it sit for a few minutes after scrubbing it on. Then use the lip balm (right side) to apply all over your lips. I especially like to use this at night, and when I wake up in the morning, my lips are so smooth.

This is a pricier product ($39), but the size is huge, and I can see that it is going to last me a very long time! This would make a great gift for someone or you could put it on your own list!

Let me know if you have tried this and what you think of it!

Empties! Will I repurchase?

Hi everyone! Today I have another batch of empties to share with you. This is my second time doing an ’empties’ post, and I will do them every 3 months. Keep on reading to find out what I have used up and if I will purchase it again or not!

Makeup:

IMG_0412

L-R:

BareMinerals Prime Time: This was a sample size of the primer, and I liked it! It is more of a silicone feeling primer and I do think it helped to keep my makeup in place! Repurchase? Probably not a full size, since I have many samples right now!

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara: This is one of the best mascaras I have tried lately. It does a great job of giving my length and volume without clumps. Repurchase? YES!

Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara: This wasn’t the best mascara I have ever used. It gave decent volume, but not much length. It was just ‘ok’ for me (luckily, this was a sample size!). Repurchase? No.

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer: This is definitely my go-to concealer lately. I have tried a few, but I love the applicator on this, and I love how well it covers my under-eye circles and any blemishes. Repurchase? YES! (I’m already working on another tube)

Jack Black Lip Balm: I recently mentioned this in a favorites post, and it’s already gone! (this was a very small sample size I received in a goodie bag from Sephora). I just love how smooth and soft it makes my lips feel! Repurchase? YES! (I actually bought a 4-pack gift set, because I loved this so much!)

Body/Skin:

FullSizeRender 23

L-R:

Harvey Prince ‘Hello’ Purse Spray: This came in one of my Boxycharms and smelled really good. Ufortunately, I actually only used about half of this up, and the other half leaked out 😦 I liked it, but I didn’t LOVE it. Repurchase? No.

Yes to Coconut Cleansing Wipes: These were just ok for me. The coconut smell was not what I thought it would be, and the wipes did their job of cleansing my face, but they just didn’t do anything special for me! Repurchase? No.

Lush ‘Lord of Misrule’ Shower Cream: I LOVED this stuff! It was perfect for fall because of the spicy/peppery scent. Plus the green color is so fun! Repurchase? YES!

Alright, there are the products I have used up in the past 3 months! Remember, just because something didn’t work out for me, doesn’t mean it won’t work for you! I’m just sharing my honest thoughts!

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great weekend!

❤ Rylie
