NEW! Maybelline Color Stay Tattoo Crayon

Happy Friday everyone!! Yay!! So with all the new products being released in the drugstore, I have yet again found something new to be excited about! I have used the original Maybelline Tattoo that comes in the pot, but now they come in a crayon form! I LOVE that idea! While I have always liked the pots, this is way easier to apply (and less messy). You don’t have to stick your finger into the product. With the crayon form, you can simply glide it onto your eye. These are so creamy and crazy pigmented! I picked up two colors to try, and I am obsessed with them both!

The two colors I bought are “bronze truffle” and “lavish lavender”. These can be found at most drugstores right now, and also at Ulta.com

Top: Bronze Truffle || Bottom: Lavish Lavender

So far, I am so glad I got these! I think they will be so versatile….you can use it as a base, just by itself for a quick look, or maybe even smudged in the lower lash line!

Let me know if you have tried these!

January Wishlist!

Hi everyone! Today I am just sharing a quick post about the current beauty products I am lusting after. Honestly, besides a very few drugstore products I purchased a couple of weeks ago, I haven’t bought any other makeup since November (quite an accomplish for me!). But all these new spring releases have got me going crazy! This doesn’t mean I will get all of these products, but these are definitely the ones sparking my curiosity, and I might have to get my hands on at least some of them!

L’Oreal Lumi Cushion Foundation

IMG_0754

Hi everyone! If you saw my recent haul post, you know I picked up this new cushion foundation from L’Oreal. First off, several makeup brands are releasing their own cushion foundation, but this is the only one I have picked up. I have been using it for about a week, so I want to share my thoughts on it!

You can find this at most drugstores now, and also at Ulta and Ulta.com – at Ulta it sells for $16.99 and I think the drugstores may be right around the price (I might have seen it around $12, but don’t quote me!). So this is a little pricier for a drugstore foundation 😦

IMG_0756

As for the packaging, it is a gorgeous rose gold, which I think is so pretty. When you flip up the first lid, you will see the little applicator sponge , and then there is a second “lid” to flip up, revealing the cushion underneath. As you can see, it looks like a sponge, and feels that way too! All you have to do is dab your applicator into the sponge to pick up the product.

For application, I have tried it a couple of times with the applicator provided and then a couple of times with the complexion sponge from Real Techniques. I honestly think the provided applicator gave me better coverage vs. the complexion sponge.

In my opinion, this foundation gives a sheer to medium coverage, definitely not a full coverage. But what I love the most is that it looks nice and dewy when applied. This time of year, my skin is dry, so I wanted anything but a matte foundation! At first, this almost looks “wet” but then once it sets in, it gives a nice, healthy glow to the skin.

As for lasting power, this actually seems to do pretty well. I have worn this for up to 12 hours, and on those days, I did start to notice some of my dry patches showing a few hours into wearing to it. Otherwise, I think it does last for a good several hours without looking patchy or wearing off.

Overall, I am really liking this foundation right now, and I will continue to use it!

Let me know if you have tried this, or any of the other cushion foundations out there! I would love to know which ones are the best or not?!

Trend of The Moment

I know this trend isn’t exactly new, and I started to get into this trend a while ago. But recently, so many stores are releasing some new spring products based on this trend. And what is it?? TORTOISE. I have a tortoise print watch that I got a while ago, and it has been one of my all time favorite pieces. I think it makes the perfect neutral print and goes with just about anything! I’m having fun looking at the new products and it has got me so excited to wear this print this spring/summer!

New Drugstore Products!

IMG_0786

Hello everyone! So everybody and their brother is talking about all of the great new products at the drugstore right now! I was able to get my hands on a few things, but my drugstore did not have a lot of the products on my list 😦 So I will show you what I did manage to get! Some of these products I have used, and some I have not, so this will not be  much of a review, but rather a look at what I got!

Wet N’ Wild 1 Step WonderGel Nail Polish – I got this because it is supposed to be a gel-looking polish that does not require a UV lamp. And it was less than $5. I decided to only get one for now to see if I like the formula. How pretty is the color?! And I kind of love the name 😉

IMG_0789

Wet N’ Wild Illumi-naughty Highlighting and Concealing Pen – (can’t find this online, but found at Walgreens). I currently use the L’Oreal Lumi Concealer but am almost out and thought I would try this one for a third of the price! I have not had a change to try it out yet, but I have high hopes!

IMG_0791

L’Oreal Brow Stylist Plumper Brow Gel – The only brow gel I have ever used is the Benefit Gimme Brow (which I LOVE), but it is quite pricey for such a small tube! So I wanted to try a drugstore brow gel, and I thought I’d give this one a go! The wand and brush are much bigger than the Benefit brow gel, but it still works. The color is a good match and it stays put ALL DAY. Only downside is that it has a bit of that hairspray/crispy feel, where the Benefit Gimme Brow doesn’t 😦

L’Oreal True Match Lumi Cushion Foundation – Ok, so many brands are coming out with a version of this, and it looks to interesting to pass up! I have used it once and my first impression is that I kind of like it. The cushion part is quite unique and it is pretty easy to apply with the provided applicator. I like that it gives a medium coverage and makes my skin look nice and luminous. Only thing I’m not sure of yet is lasting power. Will have to try it out some more!

Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip Color – So we all know that liquid lipsticks made it big in 2015. I had never tried a drugstore version of these, so I thought I’d try this one out. After only using once, I can see that it is not at all like the high-end liquid lipsticks. It does not dry totally matte, but feels velvety and creamy. It also is not stay-proof like some liquid lipsticks are. However, I do love the color and I still like this product, just not as a liquid lipstick!

That’s all for my little haul! Let me know if you have found anything new at the drugstore that I need to check out 😉
