Stitch Fix Styling

Hi everyone! I have been doing Stitch Fix for a couple of months now, and I always post my “unboxing” in which I show the pieces on. But I wanted to do a little something different to show how I style the pieces that I have kept! In my “unboxing” photos, I just throw the item on with something basic, but as time goes on, I have fun trying new styles and pairing the pieces with new things!

The RD Style Meredith Faux Leather Elbow Patch Cardigan over a basic tank when I first tried it on.

This cardigan has been one of my go-tos this winter because it is sooo cozy! But I’ve gotten tired of always wearing it with a black top and jeans or black leggings. So the other day I was having a girls’ day out with my bestie and we were doing lunch and a movie! It was a very cold day, so I wanted something cozy and warm, but I wanted to still be cute! So I had an idea to try pairing this cardigan over a fun graphic tee. I loved how it looked, so then I added some slip-on tennis shoes that made the look very casual and fun! I also love how the faux-leather elbow patches on the cardigan go so well with the shoes!

I’m Back!

Happy Friday everyone! In case you missed me (or not), I haven’t had a post in two weeks. I was on vacation for one week, and then just needed to take the next week to get myself back into the swing of the things, between school, work and housework. So now, I am back, and will be back to my normal schedule of M-W-F. So for today, I thought I would just share some photos of my trip!

My husband and I traveled to Jamaica with another couple. We went there last year for our honeymoon and absolutely loved it, so we decided to go back and take some friends! Where we live, it is currently about 20 degrees F, and Jamaica was in the 80s F….so warm!! We had a blast eating, drinking, swimming, and just relaxing!

Beautiful view from our room

Can’t get over how pretty and blue the water is!

One of MANY beautiful (and yummy) desserts!

Hope you all enjoyed seeing some photos! We had a blast, but I am glad to be back home and back to my blogging! Talk to you all soon!

Mini MAC Haul!

FullSizeRender 40

So, I may have a done a little shopping at MAC….oops! 😛 But they recently launched their new collection “Flamingo Park”, and seriously, it screamed to me! If you haven’t seen this collection, you definitely need to check it out…..It is all about PINK!!! There are so many bright and vibrant shades of pink/coral and everything is so fun. It makes me so ready for spring and ready to get away from my basic neutrals and try some fun new color! So I picked up two things from the collection, and then I also really wanted to try the new correct and conceal duo. So let’s get in to the pictures!

Lipstick: Flocking Fabulous

Ok, seriously, that name?!? LOVE IT! This is a cremesheen+pearl finish, which is one of my favorites, because it makes a bright, bold color much more wearable. This is described as a bright coral/red, and thats definitely what it is! I think it is beautiful and will be the perfect color for this spring/summer!

Blush: Let’s Be Friends

To be honest, this color (and most of them in the collection) look a little scary. They are bright and in your face! But I decided to step out of my comfort zone and away from my typical blush colors and try this one. This one is described as a blue hot pink, and it is a satin finish. I don’t have anything like this in my collection. When I got it in the mail, I was worried because it is HOT HOT PINK. But when I applied it with a light hand, it gave me the perfect pink flush to the face. Very girly looking and also perfect for spring/summer!

Conceal and Correct Duo: Mid Peach/Mid Yellow

I have never tried a color correcting, and it seems to be all the rage right now. I have quite dark circles under my eyes, and have been hearing a lot about using a peach/orange color to correct them. So I thought I would try this duo out, and after using it a few times, I can say I love it! I honestly haven’t used the concealer color as much, because I’ve been experimenting with other concealers, but I am definitely loving the peach side. It really does correct my dark circles!

Sample: Strobe Cream

This is one of my favorite products, so whenever I get to pick a sample, I usually pick this. I love to have a back-up and the sample sizes are very travel friendly! Love this stuff!

Well, that’s everything I picked up in my small haul. Hope you all enjoyed! Have you picked up anything new lately??

Hi everyone! Valentine’s Day is coming soon, and in honor of that, I though I would share my top 5 lip colors for the special day! I love this time of year, not just because of the day itself, but because we are through the winter holidays, and this is the time when I like to come back to my pink/purple/red lips instead of the dark colors I’ve worn all fall and winter. I love seeing all of the Valentine’s stuff out in the stores, and I just love pink and red together! So lets get on with it, and see my top lip picks!

January Favorites!

Welcome back everyone! The first month of 2016 is already over with, and I can’t believe it! So today, let’s talk about the beauty products I loved in January. I don’t have a ton of products to share, but I’m hoping this year will bring lots of new favorites! So lets jump right into it!

IMG_0825

Maybelline Master Prime primer in “Illuminate + Blur” – I got this primer in the summer/fall and rarely ever used it. But with my skin so incredibly dry this winter, I have found myself using this every single day. It hydrates and gives that glow, instead of looking dry and patchy. LOVE!

Buxom Full-On Lip Polis in “Sophia” – This is a smaller size that I got in a set. But this has quickly become my everyday, go-to lip gloss. I love Buxom’s products because they have they that minty, tingly feel and they make the lips look plump and shiny. This color is just the perfect everyday neutral. I just keep in my purse for when I need something on the go!

L’Oreal Lumi Cushion Foundation – I am loving this foundation this month! I recently did a review on it, and I have been using it everyday! Just like the primer, I am trying to use products that keep my skin looking fresh, dewy and glowy. This on top of that primer looks so great, and really reduces the appearance of dry patches.

Benefit They’re Real! Tinted Primer – I received this sample for free sometime in December (I think) and I have worn it seriously every day. What I love is that some days I can wear it by itself if I want just a natural look. And then when I want more dramatic lashes, I layer it under my mascara of the moment! This is definitely a product worth having!

So that’s it for this month! I would love to hear what you have been loving recently!
