OFRA Cosmetics Charming Glow – $39 – This is not a self-tanner, but more of a lotion that you can put on for a nice bronzy glow, but lasts about 12 hours.

Chella Tantalizing Taupe Eyebrow Pencil – $18 This color seems like it will work for me, so I’m curious to try it out!

Makeup Geek Eyeshadows in “frappe” (Matte) and “Mai tai” (Duochrome) – $6 ea. – I have only swatched these so far, but they seem to have good pigmentation so I am excited to try these out! They come in just the pans so you can put them into any palette, which I love!

Catherine Malandrino Style De Paris Perfume – $20 – To be honest, this smells like a hairspray, so I don’t know if I’m going to like this. But I will give it a try!

Luxie Beauty 512 Small Contour Brush – $16 – I love getting new brushes to try out, and so far this one looks like it might be a good one!

Total: $105 – pretty good for $20 🙂

I am excited to try this all out! I would love to know what you got in your box!

March Ipsy Bag!

Hi everyone, welcome back! My latest Ipsy bag has arrived, and today I am sharing what I got! First off, I love that this month the bag came in three different colors, so not everybody got the same exact color, I love that! The theme for this month is “Hello, Spring!” (how perfect, right?!?). So let’s find out what goodies I got this month!

And as always, if you haven’t heard of Ipsy, it is a monthly subscription that sends you 5 beauty-related sample products (some full-size), for $10/month. Check it out HERE.

NYX Cosmetics Liquid Suede Lipstick in “Pink Lust”: I am super excited to get this, because I have seen a lot of people talking about it. I wish I would have gotten a more wearable color, but I still think this will be so fun for spring/summer!

Beau Gâchis® Paris Eyebrow Brush: I can always use new brushes, so I am excited to try this one out!

Global Beauty Care Collagen Spa Treatment Mask: I have not tried these yet, but I love that they sent two instead of just one!

Be A Bombshell Cosmetics Baked Bronzer in “Heat Wave”: I was so excited about this, but then I tried it and it does not show up on my skin whatsoever. 😦 So it will probably be gifted to a friend!

OFRA Cosmetics “Green Go” Eyeliner: This is a really pretty green eyeliner that I think will be pretty for spring!

Overall, this was a pretty good bag, and I’m excited to try these products out more!

DIY Spring Wreath

As of this past Sunday, it is officially Spring (YAY!). I just love this time of year for so many reasons. It is starting to get warmer, the sun is shining, flowers are blooming, etc, etc.! So in the past few weeks I have been putting away the last of my winter decorations and brining out some fun color and spring decor! But then I realized I still had a Christmas wreath hanging on my door, and nothing to replace it. Solution: make my own spring wreath! So my bestie and I made a day out of making our own fun spring wreaths! It was so easy and pretty inexpensive as well! Stay tuned to find out how we did it!

Grapevine wreath: $4.99 at Michaels

Flowers of your choice: I chose tulips (4 bundles)

Letter of your choice

Ribbon (wired is best)

Hot glue gun & glue sticks

Wreath wire

Step 1:

The first thing I did was lay my wreath out and apply the flowers how I wanted them. For mine, I wanted the tulips to go in different directions. So I took two bundles for the top and staggered them to give it a little dimension, then I took the other two bundles and turned them the opposite way, still staggering them. To secure the stems, I used the wreath wire to attach them to the wreath itself. Where the stems come together is where I will put the ribbon so it doesn’t matter to much if you can see them.

Step 2:

Apply ribbon: Because the area where the stems came together was quite big, I decided to wrap some of the ribbon around the stems and wreath to help secure them a little more and to cover up the empty space.

For the ribbon, I decided to just make a single bow. As you can see in the picture, you make an upside down triangle with the ribbon, and let the ends overlap. Then you pinch the middle together and shape your bow. *This is where wired ribbon is the best* The ribbon I picked out was not wired and made my bow a little flimsy. I am still happy with it, but if I had to do it again, I would definitely use a wired ribbon.

Once my bow was how I liked it, I secured the middle with a little twine and just hot glued the back of it. Then, using hot glue, I simply attached my bow to the ribbon on the wreath.

Step 3:

Add your initial. This is a super fun way to personalize your wreath! You can use your first name initial, or your last name, whatever you want! You can find these letters at any craft store in all shapes and sizes. You can even paint it if you choose, but I decided to keep mine white to go with my white tulips! I simply hot glued the letter right to the wreath!

Step 4:

Hang it up! See how simple that was!? I love how this turned out. The colors are so fresh and clean for spring, I love it! It took us maybe an hour at the most to make our wreaths, it was so easy!

I hope you all enjoyed this DIY! I encourage you all to try making your own wreath! They are also great ideas for upcoming Mother’s Day gifts! There are so many variations you can do!

Mani Monday!

Happy Monday everyone, and more importantly, happy SPRING! Yesterday was the first day of spring, and even though it doesn’t quite feel like it yet here, I can tell its on its way! Yesterday I was perusing Walmart (as I do about once a week), and I saw some new nail polishes (so naturally I had to buy some!). The brand is Sinful Colors, which are less than $3. So the new ones are by Sinful Colors, but they are called “Sinful Shine”, and from what I can tell they are supposed to be a gel polish without the lights. This collection is also apparently a collaboration with Kylie Jenner. So anyway, I picked up the one color that was calling to me (there are about 20 colors total!), and then I noticed that there was a “step 2” top coat. So I picked that up as well. I am curious to see how well these hold up!

Have you tried these nail polishes? I’m curious to know how well they last!

Have a great week everyone!

Spring PINspiration!

Happy Saturday everyone…its finally the weekend!! I don’t normally post on Saturdays, but since I didn’t post all week I figured I’d throw in a little surprise post 🙂 I had a very busy week of work and studying for a special test for my career, so that is what kept me away. But today I want to share some of the new spring trends that I want to try. These are things that I have pinned on Pinterest..hence PINspiration 😉 So I won’t keep you waiting any longer, lets see what trends I am dying to try!

Lace up flats – I just love how cute and feminine these flats are! I am drawn to the nude color more than the black. Need to find a pair of these!

Printed shorts – I have seen these everywhere, and I think they are so cute and fun! I like the pin because it looks so casual and effortless! Perfect for the beach, or a picnic!

Stripes and distressed denim – I don’t know what it is about this look, but I love it! I have always been a lover of stripes, and I love how it looks with the distressed jeans. I love that this look can be worn super casual or dressed up a little bit!

Fringe sandals – Fringe has been huge for a while now, but I am loving the look of fringe sandals. I think it so different and fun, and again, can be worn casual or dressed up! I can see myself wearing these a lot this summer!

Have you tried any of these trends? What are you loving?

Book Haul!

Hello everyone! How are you all on this Monday?? We had the time change this weekend and I’m still feeling the effects of losing that one hour! But anyway, its a new week and I’m going to make it a good one! This weekend I was at Target (one of those trips where you go in for one thing, and come out with way more!). So while I was there, I sauntered over to the book section to have a look. I’m about to finish up the book I’m currently reading, so I wanted to pick up a few new ones (and I ended up with three!). I wanted to share with you the books I picked up. I would love to know if you have read them and what your thoughts are (no spoilers, please!). I’m also always looking for new books, so if you have any recommendations, leave them in the comments!

Top to Bottom:

“Spring Fever” – Mary Kay Andrews: I have read a few of her books, and I just love her writing! Her books are the kind of chick-lit that I like, usually involving relationships with a little comedic flair!

“What Alice Forgot” – Liane Moriarty: I have one other book by this author which I LOVED. So naturally, I am hoping I will love this one too. It seems interesting as the back of the book summarizes that the main character suddenly comes to and realizes that 10 years have passed and she does not remember them. Sounds like a very interesting read!

“The Forgotten Girls” – Sara Blaedel: I have never heard of this author or anything about this book, but as I was browsing, the cover and the title just caught my attention. It sounds like a suspense type book, so I figured I’d give it a shot!

Current Combo for Dark Under-eyes

Hi everyone! I hope you are all doing well! I for one, have really been enjoying the nice weather we’ve been having lately. The snow has melted and the temps are above 50F…makes me so happy! So today I am sharing the products that I have been loving to combat my dark under-eyes. I have recently gotten into trying correctors, and I just picked up a new one that is working amazingly along with a couple other products!

Step 1 -Corrector: Smashbox Color Correcting Stick in “Light -Peach” – This is the new corrector I recently picked up, and I simply love it! It comes in pencil form (also includes a sharpener, and there are some other colors as well!), and I love how easy this is to apply. I usually apply my foundation or BB cream first, and then put this on. In the pictures (you will see them below), the only makeup I have on is the Bare Minerals Complexion Gel Rescue. Once I draw a couple of lines on, I blend it with a small concealer brush.

Step 2 – Highlighter: Wet N’ Wild Highlighting and Concealing Pen- The next step is to dab on a few dots of this highlighter right on top of where I put the corrector. This helps to lighten up that area and give a brightening effect. I then blend this in over the corrector.

Step 3 – NYX Highlight and Contour Pro Palette – For the final step, I use the shade that is on the top row, second one in (the only one I’ve hit pan on). Not only does this help to set the products underneath, but it is just one more step to help lighten and brighten.

See the difference!

Left: No makeup ——- Right: Makeup

Can you see what a difference it makes! I absolutely love how much better and more awake I look with this easy combo!

Thanks for stopping by!

❤ Rylie
