Hi everyone! Today I am sharing my latest Ipsy Glam Bag, and this mont’s theme is “The Dreamers”. The bag is a fun tie-dye print, which is perfect for spring! Once again, some fun new products to try out for spring! So stay tuned to see what I got!

L-R:

Skin&Co Roma – Truffle Therapy Serum

City Color Cosmetics – Highlight Trio

Tarte – LipSurgence Lip Creme

Adesse New York – Organic Infused Gel Effect Nail Lacquer

Luxie Beauty – Dreamcatcher Tapered Highlighter Brush

Overall, there are some fun products to try out for spring. I think the highlighter trio and brush will go great together! I’m also excited to try the nail lacquer and see how well it holds up. I’ve tried Tarte Lipsurgence before, so I know I like it, and this color is perfect for spring/summer!

Hope you enjoyed, and I would love to know what you got this month!

Stitch Fix #5

Happy Saturday everyone! I have been seriously slacking on my blogging this week, so for a Saturday treat, I have my fifth Stitch Fix! I received it on Wednesday, and just made my final decisions. My stylist this time was Maha, who I had last time, and this is the first time I’ve had a stylist for more than just one box. Once again, she did a fabulous job and seems to get my style! This month, I just told her I wanted tops and accessories for spring! So let’s dive on in to what I got and what I kept or returned 😉

IMG_1202

1). Papermoon Bastille Tulip Sleeve Blouse – $44

Photo on 4-15-16 at 4.53 PM

This top is super cute with the tulip sleeve detail. The ivory/off white color is very cute for spring. Although this top is super cute, it’s a little dressier than what I would like. White is just not ideal for me, living in the country and having dogs. So while this top is very cute and would look pretty with some accessories, it just isn’t for me!

Verdict: RETURNED.

2). Daniel Rainn Norberta Halter Neck Top – $58

Photo on 4-15-16 at 4.58 PM

As you can see in the picture, this top has the halter neck, and it closes in the back with a little button, leaving a small keyhole. I love then tops have cute details on the back! I love this top because its a little flowy which will be great for hot summer days, and I feel like I can wear this casual or dressy. I don’t own anything like this, so I’m super happy to have this!

Verdict: KEEP

3). Octavia Garland Floral Print Infinity Scarf – $28

FullSizeRender 52

This is a cute infinity scarf, it is navy with a floral print. I like the print and I think it is super cute for spring. However, I have a scarf almost exactly like this, so it seems silly to keep it for that reason. But if it weren’t for me already having one, I love the style and I would have kept it!

Verdict: RETURNED

4). Papermoon Casine Crochet Back Knit Top – $44

FullSizeRender 53

FullSizeRender 54

This top is a very soft fabric, which makes it great for casual wear. And there is the fun crochet detail on the back, which I love! As I said before, I love tops that have interesting backs. BUT…I just really don’t love this pattern/colors. If this had been a solid, or a more subtle print, I absolutely would have kept it!

Verdict: RETURNED

5). BC Footwear Dinky Fringe Sandal – $60

IMG_1214.JPG

So, Stitch Fix recently launched shoes, and I just so happened to get a pair! (YAY!). These are a fun sandal with a little bit of fringe! I have actually been looking at fringe sandals at different stores, but most of them had too much fringe for my liking. So I’m so excited that I got these. The orange/rust color is perfect for spring/summer and these fit my feet so perfectly!

Verdict: KEEP

So all in all, I kept 2/5, which is a win in my mind!

If you have been curious about Stitch Fix, what are you waiting for? You can sign up and get  5 items sent right to you, and you keep what you like, send back what you don’t. They make it so easy to return items, and you don’t have to feel committed to doing this every month. You can just schedule them as desired (thats what I love so much about it!).

If you want to check it out, I will leave my referral link HERE (if you use it, thank you very much!)

Foundation First Impression!

Hi everyone! Does anyone else love placing online orders and getting a free deluxe sample along with?? I recently placed an order and there was a coupon code for a free sample of the new Josie Maran Vibrancy Argan Oil Foundation Fluid. I’ve tried it out a couple of times, and wanted to share my first thoughts!

Claims: “A revolutionary medium-to-full coverage skin care foundation fluid powered by 100 percent pure argan oil and nutrient-rich pigments for vibrant, glowing skin” – Sephora

Let me start off by saying that if you have oily skin, you probably would not like this, but if you have dry skin like me, this is great! I found that it provided a medium coverage, but left my skin looking so glowy! There was no visible dry patches, even after a couple of hours. I thought it felt very lightweight and moisturizing on my face!

As far as lasting power, it held up a good several hours, but then started to fade. But I was happy with the lasting power for a day-to-day basis!

The packaging is so cute and pretty! There seems to be a decent variety of shades, which is great! The full size bottle is $45, and while I really enjoy this foundation, I’m not sure I would spend that much for the full size.

I would definitely recommend trying this out, and you can still get a sample size free with a $25 purchase…just use the code “vibrancy”

Have a great day!

Sephora Wish-list

Hi everyone! Happy Friday! Today I am sharing my Sephora wish-list, because today starts the VIB sale (this started  yesterday for those that are VIB rouge). If you are VIB like me, you will have gotten a coupon for 15% during the sale. So I thought I’d put together a list of some things I have been wanting and may pick up during the sale. I have been really good for the past few months of not buying a ton of makeup. So I always use this opportunity to pick up some pricier items, or just to treat myself! This is such a great time because there are so many new products out, and even some new brands! This is why I love  Spring…it’s all about finding some fresh new products!

1). Milk Makeup – “Have a good trip set”: This is one of the new brands to Sephora, and it has me very interested! This item in particular sparks my attention because it seems like a great way to try several of the products. You get six travel-sized products, all inside a fun bag!

s1809623-main-hero.jpg

2). Becca – Shimmering Skin Perfector Luminous Blush:  Becca recently came out with these blushes that have more of a sparkle or lustre to them. I just think the colors are so beautiful (particularly “Snapdragon” shown above).I think it would be beautiful for Spring/Summer!

3). Fresh – Rose Deep Hydration Face Cream: I just happened to come across this when I was browsing the Sephora site and it sounds so lovely. I really enjoy rose scents and of course, my dry skin can always use some hydrating cream. The reviews sound really great as well, so I might have to try this out!

s1805910-main-hero.jpg

4). NARS – Laguna Liquid Bronzer: Everybody raves about the original NARS Laguna bronzer in the powder form (I love it too!), and now there is a liquid version! I feel like this is becoming a trend, since Benefit has done it with their famous “Hoola” Bronzer. I have not seen this yet in stores or tested it, but if the color was a match for me, I really think this would be an interesting product to try!

Let me know if you have tried any of these products and if they are worth it or not!

And of course, if you are shopping the sale, have FUN!

March Favorites!

Welcome back everyone! Now that we are a few days into April, I think its about time to share some of the things I loved during March. I have some beauty-related products as well as a fashion item. These have been my go-to products/items and I’m happy to have found some new favorites!

IMG_1196

Shoes: (From Old Navy, but similar HERE) I actually purchased these shoes toward the end of summer/fall last year, but I have worn them just about everyday this month. Because the weather is in between winter and summer, I  have found myself between not quite wanting boots, but at the same time, not quite ready for sandals. These shoes go with just about everything and are so easy to just throw on and run my errands. They can be dressed up or down, which I love! (and did I mention they are so comfy?)

L-R:

Maybelline Fit Me Dewy + Smooth Foundation: I have been a long time fan of the matte + poreless version of this foundation, but with my skin being so dry right now, the matte just looks terrible. So I thought I’d give this one a try and I really love it! It lasts a long time, but keeps my skin looking glowy all day.

Smashbox Color Correcting Stick in “Light (peach)”: This has been my new favorite color corrector for my dark circles/undereyes. I love that it is crayon form instead of a pot which so many other are, and it just glides on so easily and creamy. It really does a great job of correcting my dark circles!

Bumble and Bumble Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil Primer: I received this as a free sample from an online Sephora purchase several months ago, and just never used it. But when I ran out of my current heat protector spray, I decided to give this a try. First of all, the scent is AMAZING, and it really does seem to protect my hair from the heat (I use this before I use any hot hair tools). I’ve also noticed that my hair felt so smooth after using this!

e.l.f. Selfie Ready Powder Brush: I picked this bush up about a month and a half ago, and I wasn’t even sure what I would use it for! But after doing some playing around with it, I actually like to use it with bronzer. The brush it a little bit denser and small so it works perfectly to bronze my cheekbones and around my forehead. Best part of these brushes is that they are so inexpensive!

And there you have it! Those are the things I love during the month of March. I can’t wait to see what new products April brings 😉

I would love to know what you have been loving as well!

Smashbox Insta-Matte

Hi everyone! Happy Friday, and happy 1st day of April! I cannot believe how fast this year is flying by! But this is my favorite time of year, so I am ready for it! Today I wanted to share a review on a new product that is getting a lot of buzz lately: the Smashbox “Insta-Matte Lipstick Transformer“. This is a gel-like formula that you are supposed to apply over any lipstick to turn it into a matte. Matte lips are all the rage right now, so I definitely think it is an intriguing product! Recently, I placed an online order from Sephora, and received a sample of the lipstick transformer.

IMG_1148

It is definitely a gel consistency, and you only need a little. The first downside of this product that I noticed was that even when I applied just a tiny amount, it caused my lipstick to smear. I tried a couple different lipstick formulas, and this still occurred. I suppose its not the end of the world, as long as you make sure it doesn’t smear onto your face!

IMG_1155

As for the question of whether or not it actually turns the lipstick to matte? I think it definitely does. Like I said, I tried this with a few different lipsticks, and some made more of a difference than others. One thing I do like about this is that even when it turns the lipstick matte, it is not drying whatsoever. It still feels a little creamy from the gel, but you get the matte appearance.

When it comes to lasting power, this held up for a good couple of hours. As I said above, my lips never felt dry, even after an hour or so.

In my honest opinion, I’m not sure that I would buy the full size of this. I love matte lips, but I’d almost rather buy a matte lipstick than spend $24 on this. But I definitely want to try it out more, and see if I can find some ways to make it not smudge my lipstick so much!

Let me know if you have tried this, and what your thoughts are!

L-R:

OFRA Cosmetics Charming Glow – $39 – This is not a self-tanner, but more of a lotion that you can put on for a nice bronzy glow, but lasts about 12 hours.

Chella Tantalizing Taupe Eyebrow Pencil – $18 This color seems like it will work for me, so I’m curious to try it out!

Makeup Geek Eyeshadows in “frappe” (Matte) and “Mai tai” (Duochrome) – $6 ea. – I have only swatched these so far, but they seem to have good pigmentation so I am excited to try these out! They come in just the pans so you can put them into any palette, which I love!

Catherine Malandrino Style De Paris Perfume – $20 – To be honest, this smells like a hairspray, so I don’t know if I’m going to like this. But I will give it a try!

Luxie Beauty 512 Small Contour Brush – $16 – I love getting new brushes to try out, and so far this one looks like it might be a good one!

Total: $105 – pretty good for $20 🙂

I am excited to try this all out! I would love to know what you got in your box!
