A New Subscription Unboxing!

Hi everyone! It has been a very long time since my last post, and I am so sorry for that! Before I dive into the new subscription box I am trying out, I want to mention that I have cancelled two of my previous subscription services. I decided to cancel Ipsy and Boxycharm because quite honestly I just felt like I was getting the same type of items over and over again and I wasn’t using half of the products I received. Once I cancelled, I thought “Oh, great, theres an extra $30 I’ll have each month”. AND THEN, I found this new subscription box, and of course, I caved. So let’s find out which one I’m talking about!

The Play! by Sephora box is $10 a month and you receive 5-6 items that can be found at Sephora. To check it out click HERE (p.s. it’s not a referral link, just wanted to share it for you!). That’s the first thing that intrigued me, because if you find something you love, you know where to get it. Unlike Ipsy or Boxycharm, sometimes you get brands you’ve never heard of and are hard to find. There is a waitlist with this box, but it didn’t take me too long before I was off of it! So far, I received just one box for the month of May, and want to show you wha type of products I got!

The box itself is super cute and has the typical black and white stripes of Sephora. When I opened the box, this is what I saw…a cute little bag inside!

L-R:

Origins skin-optimizing mask primer – This came with the little spray bottle of the primer, and then two on-time-use masks to try it with! I haven’t tried this yet, but am curious to see how it makes my masks feel different!

Korres wild rose + vitamin C advanced brightening sleeping facial – This is another one that I haven’t used yet, but it smells so good! I can’t wait to try this out!

Tarte tarteist lip crayon in “Latergram” – this a very pretty neutral, nude-pink shade. It goes on very easily and is a great color to go with a lot of my lipstick shades!

Bite Beauty amuse bouche lipstick in “Kimchi” – I had been hearing a lot about these lipsticks, and was excited to see that I got one! The color is not something I would wear everyday, but as for the lipstick itself, it feels very creamy and nice on my lips, and has pretty decent lasting power as well!

Atelier orange sanguine cologne absolute pure perfume – I don’t really love perfume samples that come in this little bottle with no sprayer. But thats ok, they are good for the purse, and it allows you try out a scent. This is a very nice citrusy scent that is perfect for summer! So far, I’m liking it!

Briogeo Don’t despair, repair! deep conditioning mask – This is another one I have not tried yet, but I am curious to see how it works. I have very dry, frizzy hair, so I’m hoping this has good outcomes!

For my first month, I was pretty happy with the products I received! Some I’ve tried, and some I haven’t, but will be trying very soon!

I hope you enjoyed seeing this, and again, if you want to check this box out for yourself, click HERE.

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!

Sephora Mini Haul

Hello lovelies…today I bring you a mini Sephora haul! So recently Sephora had their VIB sale [[and this may come as a shock]] but I have not actually spent enough money there to be VIB status. So instead of 15% off, I got 10% which is for ‘beauty insiders’ that have not reached VIB status. I couldn’t let the 10% off go to waste, but there wasn’t really anything I NEEDED….but a few things I’ve been wanting to try. So, I took to the travel sized section to try some things out! Here’s what I got:

sephora

  • Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 –

I have really been wanting to try this out…but it’s so expensive! So I figured I would try the travel size to see if I like it or not! I don’t like to wear a lot of foundation or face makeup in the summer, but I still like ‘something’. Also I like that this has SPF in it.

  • Bite Beauty ‘5 Night Fix For Lips’ –

Another thing I have been hearing a TON of good reviews on is the Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask. Again, I wanted to see if I like this before spending the money. So I found this kit that contains the agave lip mask as well as an exfoliating lip balm (and a cute little jar to keep them in!). After using this ONCE, I already know I will be purchasing the full size lip mask when this runs out! It felt like heaven on my lips, and I’m curious to see how my lips feel after using it a few nights in a row.

  • Smashbox Full Exposure Travel Palette –

I did not need another full size eye shadow palette, but I have been eyeing this one for a long time. The colors are so pretty and I love the combination of matte and shimmery. I thought this would be great for travel so that I don’t have to tote around a full size palette, but I still have enough shades to create multiple eye looks!

Well, that’s everything I got! I know it’s not a crazy haul, but I’m still excited to use all of those products!

Let me know if you have tried any of these and what you think of them! Also, let me know if you picked up anything from the Sephora sale!
