April Favorites

Hi everyone! First off, I just want to say that I am sorry for not keeping up with my blog as well as I would have liked! I have so many things going on right now, that I think for the time being, my posts will be limited to once or twice a week. I hope you can understand, and I promise to pick back up when my life allows! So for now, I want to share what I have been loving in the month of April. I don’t have a ton of products to show you, but quite frankly I have had too much going on to experiment a whole lot. But I have found a few staple products that have not let me down this month!

Pantene Pro-V Smooth Heat Protecting Spray – I had recently used up my current heat protector, and I wanted to try something different. I have really been enjoying this one! It smells so delicious and I feel like it really does protect my hair when I’m straightening/curling it.

Philosophy Pure Grace Summer – This perfume is like summer in a bottle! I can’t quite describe the scent, but its floral and fresh with a hint of coconut. When I compare it to my other favorite summer perfume (Bobbi Brown, Beach), this perfume isn’t as in your face BEACH as the other one. So if you don’t like the smell of sunscreen, this may be more for you!

Milk Makeup Matte Bronzer in “Baked” – I got this in a mini size that came in a set that I purchased during the sale because I wanted to try a few things out from the new brand. Well out of the whole set, this has been my favorite! I have a ton of bronzers, but what I love is that it is a cream, which is good for my already dry skin. I also love how easy this is to apply. With the stick form, I literally just draw it on where I want it, and blend! it blends so easily and the color is perfect for me. It gives me just the right amount of color, without looking too fakey bronze!

Candie’s Ghillie Lace-Up Flats – I am obsessed with these shoes! I know they are all the trend right now, and I needed to get in on it for myself! These are the pair I found (pretty inexpensive) and I love them! They are actually more comfortable than they look, and I feel like they are the perfect detail to any outfit, even just jeans and a tee!

I hope you enjoyed seeing what I loved during April! Have you tried any of these? Do you have a favorite from this month that I need to check out? 😉

Lace-Up Flats

Hi everyone! Welcome back 🙂 So lace-up flats are a huge trend right now, and I finally found a pair that I love! I’ve been having fun finding new outfits to wear them with, and I’ve found that they really are quite versatile! So I’ve put together a few looks that show how simple it is to wear these adorable flats! They can easily be dressed up or down, and my particular pair are super comfy, even after a day of walking around! See the pair I got HERE (very affordable!).

1). A more casual/boho look. These flats give a simple jeans/tee outfit just the right amount of style!

2). A dress option. I think a solid/simple dress is all you need because of the detail in the flats. Paired with a cute handbag and some fun jewelry, this is super cute for spring!

3). A more feminine/dressed up option. I think the white and baby pink are so adorable and girly, especially with the lace-up detail in the shoes.

I love all of these styles, and am loving my new flats!

Stitch Fix #5

Happy Saturday everyone! I have been seriously slacking on my blogging this week, so for a Saturday treat, I have my fifth Stitch Fix! I received it on Wednesday, and just made my final decisions. My stylist this time was Maha, who I had last time, and this is the first time I’ve had a stylist for more than just one box. Once again, she did a fabulous job and seems to get my style! This month, I just told her I wanted tops and accessories for spring! So let’s dive on in to what I got and what I kept or returned 😉

1). Papermoon Bastille Tulip Sleeve Blouse – $44

Photo on 4-15-16 at 4.53 PM

This top is super cute with the tulip sleeve detail. The ivory/off white color is very cute for spring. Although this top is super cute, it’s a little dressier than what I would like. White is just not ideal for me, living in the country and having dogs. So while this top is very cute and would look pretty with some accessories, it just isn’t for me!

Verdict: RETURNED.

2). Daniel Rainn Norberta Halter Neck Top – $58

Photo on 4-15-16 at 4.58 PM

As you can see in the picture, this top has the halter neck, and it closes in the back with a little button, leaving a small keyhole. I love then tops have cute details on the back! I love this top because its a little flowy which will be great for hot summer days, and I feel like I can wear this casual or dressy. I don’t own anything like this, so I’m super happy to have this!

Verdict: KEEP

3). Octavia Garland Floral Print Infinity Scarf – $28

FullSizeRender 52

This is a cute infinity scarf, it is navy with a floral print. I like the print and I think it is super cute for spring. However, I have a scarf almost exactly like this, so it seems silly to keep it for that reason. But if it weren’t for me already having one, I love the style and I would have kept it!

4). Papermoon Casine Crochet Back Knit Top – $44

FullSizeRender 53

FullSizeRender 54

This top is a very soft fabric, which makes it great for casual wear. And there is the fun crochet detail on the back, which I love! As I said before, I love tops that have interesting backs. BUT…I just really don’t love this pattern/colors. If this had been a solid, or a more subtle print, I absolutely would have kept it!

5). BC Footwear Dinky Fringe Sandal – $60

So, Stitch Fix recently launched shoes, and I just so happened to get a pair! (YAY!). These are a fun sandal with a little bit of fringe! I have actually been looking at fringe sandals at different stores, but most of them had too much fringe for my liking. So I’m so excited that I got these. The orange/rust color is perfect for spring/summer and these fit my feet so perfectly!

Verdict: KEEP

So all in all, I kept 2/5, which is a win in my mind!

If you have been curious about Stitch Fix, what are you waiting for? You can sign up and get  5 items sent right to you, and you keep what you like, send back what you don’t. They make it so easy to return items, and you don’t have to feel committed to doing this every month. You can just schedule them as desired (thats what I love so much about it!).

If you want to check it out, I will leave my referral link HERE (if you use it, thank you very much!)

Spring PINspiration!

Happy Saturday everyone…its finally the weekend!! I don’t normally post on Saturdays, but since I didn’t post all week I figured I’d throw in a little surprise post 🙂 I had a very busy week of work and studying for a special test for my career, so that is what kept me away. But today I want to share some of the new spring trends that I want to try. These are things that I have pinned on Pinterest..hence PINspiration 😉 So I won’t keep you waiting any longer, lets see what trends I am dying to try!

Lace up flats – I just love how cute and feminine these flats are! I am drawn to the nude color more than the black. Need to find a pair of these!

Printed shorts – I have seen these everywhere, and I think they are so cute and fun! I like the pin because it looks so casual and effortless! Perfect for the beach, or a picnic!

Stripes and distressed denim – I don’t know what it is about this look, but I love it! I have always been a lover of stripes, and I love how it looks with the distressed jeans. I love that this look can be worn super casual or dressed up a little bit!

Fringe sandals – Fringe has been huge for a while now, but I am loving the look of fringe sandals. I think it so different and fun, and again, can be worn casual or dressed up! I can see myself wearing these a lot this summer!

Have you tried any of these trends? What are you loving?

Spring-Break Essentials!

Welcome back everyone! So we’re in to March, which means a lot of people will start taking their spring break trips, or just trips in general! If you’re like me, I’m no longer in college, so I don’t know if we can still call it spring break, but anyway, you get the jist. For any fun, tropical, warm vacation, these are some things that I must have! Now, of course this is not going to cover EVERYTHING, because that would be a lengthy post. I recently took a vacation to Jamaica, and some of these products are things that I personally used, and some are new products that I think would be great as well! Enjoy!

Tote: Pineapple Beach Tote – Francescas – How adorable is this?!?

Sunglasses: Ray-Ban Erika Classic in Tortoise – A great, classic style!

Shorts: Lilly Pulitzer Chrissy Beach Short – These are so comfy, I wore them a ton to the beach!

Earrings: Lilly Pulitzer Starry Earrings – So perfect for a tropical vacation!

BB Cream: Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream SPF 15 – Makeup with SPF is a definite must!

Chapstick: Sun Bum SPF 30 – You must keep your lips moisturized and protected!

Perfume: Bobbi Brown “Beach” – My absolute FAVORITE for vacation/summertime

Are you going on spring break? What are your spring break must-haves?

Stitch Fix #4!

Happy Friday everyone! I recently received my 4th Stitch Fix box and it is my best one yet! This month, I asked for items that will transition into spring (think fun colors and detail) and a good pair of boyfriend jeans. My stylist this month was Maja and I think she hit it out of the park! She provided the boyfriend jeans and four tops and sweaters that are perfect for the cold weather but also great for going into spring! Stay tuned to see what I got and what I decided to keep or return 😉

And before I get started, if you don’t know what Stitch Fix is, here is a quick rundown: It is a styling service that you can choose to do monthly, every other month, or just as needed. There is a styling fee of $20, which is waived if you keep even one item. You will receive 5 items that your stylist picks out based on your style profile. You try them on, keep what you love, and send back what you don’t with the super easy pre-paid for package. I have always been a shopper but I love having things sent to me without leaving me house, and I also to see what my stylist picks out that I may have never chose for myself. It is definitely worth checking out! If you would like to schedule a fix for yourself, click HERE!

1). 41 Hawthorn Demi Pullover Sweater – $68

Photo on 2-22-16 at 9.03 PM #2

This is definitely something I would never pick out for myself, but when I tried it on, I loved the look of it! I think the colors are perfect for winter or spring, and it is a nice, soft warm sweater. I mostly just loved the uniqueness of this. So for that…KEEPER

2). Dahlya Poppa Open Cardigan – $58

Photo on 2-22-16 at 9.02 PM #2

I’ll admit, I’m a sucker for a good cardigan. This is so soft, and I love the light neutral color. This makes it easy to put with just about anything, and I know it will be great to wear in the spring. The material is very soft and the front is kind of drapey, which I really like the looks of. Verdict: KEEP

3). Market & Spruce Xander Short Sleeve Woven Back Sweatshirt – $54

Photo on 2-22-16 at 8.57 PMPhoto on 2-22-16 at 8.57 PM #3

I had actually pinned this top on Pinterest, and was surprised to see that Maja noticed that and sent it to me! And I’m even more glad that I love it as much as I thought I would! The front is a sweatshirt material, and the back is a more sheer, blousy material. I just love how easy this is to wear, but still super cute. And with a long necklace in front, it looks adorable! Verdict: KEEP

4). Skies are Blue Cauly Allover Print Knot Detail Knit Top – $48

IPhoto on 2-22-16 at 9.00 PM #2

This top put me through a circle of feelings! When I first pulled it out of the box, I though “No way in heck”. But I always want to give the pieces a shot and try them on, so I did, and I instantly loved it. I would never have picked this out, but the pastel mint color, mixed with the floral pattern is just so perfect and feminine for spring. I also really like the twisted knot detail in the front. So then when I looked at these pictures (the first one), I thought it didn’t look nearly as fun as its did in person. So I think it just needs a little more styling (second picture). So in the end, I decided to KEEP it.

5). Kut from the Kloth Kate Boyfriend Jean – $88

Photo on 2-22-16 at 8.56 PM

I have never kept any of the pants I received in previous Fixes, but these I instantly knew were a keeper! The size is perfect and I love the style with the cuffed bottoms. This is exactly my style and it isn’t often that I find jeans that I feel really comfortable in. So even though these are a little pricey, it is worth it for a good fitting pair of jeans! Verdict: KEEP

So, if you haven’t already figured it out, I decided to keep all 5 items, which is the first time  I have kept all 5! And for those that don’t know, if you do keep all 5 items, you get a 25% discount in addition to the $20 styling fee.

I am just super pleased with everything! Even though it is still winter where I live, these pieces have got me super excited for spring, and I think these are all great pieces that I will get a lot of wear out of!

Hope you all enjoyed this, and talk to you soon!

Stitch Fix Styling

Hi everyone! I have been doing Stitch Fix for a couple of months now, and I always post my “unboxing” in which I show the pieces on. But I wanted to do a little something different to show how I style the pieces that I have kept! In my “unboxing” photos, I just throw the item on with something basic, but as time goes on, I have fun trying new styles and pairing the pieces with new things!

Photo on 10-27-15 at 11.50 AM

The RD Style Meredith Faux Leather Elbow Patch Cardigan over a basic tank when I first tried it on.

This cardigan has been one of my go-tos this winter because it is sooo cozy! But I’ve gotten tired of always wearing it with a black top and jeans or black leggings. So the other day I was having a girls’ day out with my bestie and we were doing lunch and a movie! It was a very cold day, so I wanted something cozy and warm, but I wanted to still be cute! So I had an idea to try pairing this cardigan over a fun graphic tee. I loved how it looked, so then I added some slip-on tennis shoes that made the look very casual and fun! I also love how the faux-leather elbow patches on the cardigan go so well with the shoes!

Hope you enjoyed! I am going to start doing this once every couple of weeks! I also have my fourth stitch fix arriving next week! Can’t wait 🙂 If you are interested in Stitch Fix yourself, you are welcome to use my referral link (here) 🙂
