A New Subscription Unboxing!

Hi everyone! It has been a very long time since my last post, and I am so sorry for that! Before I dive into the new subscription box I am trying out, I want to mention that I have cancelled two of my previous subscription services. I decided to cancel Ipsy and Boxycharm because quite honestly I just felt like I was getting the same type of items over and over again and I wasn’t using half of the products I received. Once I cancelled, I thought “Oh, great, theres an extra $30 I’ll have each month”. AND THEN, I found this new subscription box, and of course, I caved. So let’s find out which one I’m talking about!

The Play! by Sephora box is $10 a month and you receive 5-6 items that can be found at Sephora. To check it out click HERE (p.s. it’s not a referral link, just wanted to share it for you!). That’s the first thing that intrigued me, because if you find something you love, you know where to get it. Unlike Ipsy or Boxycharm, sometimes you get brands you’ve never heard of and are hard to find. There is a waitlist with this box, but it didn’t take me too long before I was off of it! So far, I received just one box for the month of May, and want to show you wha type of products I got!

The box itself is super cute and has the typical black and white stripes of Sephora. When I opened the box, this is what I saw…a cute little bag inside!

Origins skin-optimizing mask primer – This came with the little spray bottle of the primer, and then two on-time-use masks to try it with! I haven’t tried this yet, but am curious to see how it makes my masks feel different!

Korres wild rose + vitamin C advanced brightening sleeping facial – This is another one that I haven’t used yet, but it smells so good! I can’t wait to try this out!

Tarte tarteist lip crayon in “Latergram” – this a very pretty neutral, nude-pink shade. It goes on very easily and is a great color to go with a lot of my lipstick shades!

Bite Beauty amuse bouche lipstick in “Kimchi” – I had been hearing a lot about these lipsticks, and was excited to see that I got one! The color is not something I would wear everyday, but as for the lipstick itself, it feels very creamy and nice on my lips, and has pretty decent lasting power as well!

Atelier orange sanguine cologne absolute pure perfume – I don’t really love perfume samples that come in this little bottle with no sprayer. But thats ok, they are good for the purse, and it allows you try out a scent. This is a very nice citrusy scent that is perfect for summer! So far, I’m liking it!

Briogeo Don’t despair, repair! deep conditioning mask – This is another one I have not tried yet, but I am curious to see how it works. I have very dry, frizzy hair, so I’m hoping this has good outcomes!

For my first month, I was pretty happy with the products I received! Some I’ve tried, and some I haven’t, but will be trying very soon!

I hope you enjoyed seeing this, and again, if you want to check this box out for yourself, click HERE.

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!

April Ipsy Bag

Hi everyone! Today I am sharing my latest Ipsy Glam Bag, and this mont’s theme is “The Dreamers”. The bag is a fun tie-dye print, which is perfect for spring! Once again, some fun new products to try out for spring! So stay tuned to see what I got!

Skin&Co Roma – Truffle Therapy Serum

City Color Cosmetics – Highlight Trio

Tarte – LipSurgence Lip Creme

Adesse New York – Organic Infused Gel Effect Nail Lacquer

Luxie Beauty – Dreamcatcher Tapered Highlighter Brush

Overall, there are some fun products to try out for spring. I think the highlighter trio and brush will go great together! I’m also excited to try the nail lacquer and see how well it holds up. I’ve tried Tarte Lipsurgence before, so I know I like it, and this color is perfect for spring/summer!

Hope you enjoyed, and I would love to know what you got this month!

September Boxycharm

Hi everyone! Today I am sharing what I got in my September Boxycharm! The theme this month is “Runway Ready”. I haven’t had a chance to play with this stuff a ton, but I will show you what I got! This month I got the usual 5 items, plus a bonus item (YAY)!

From L to R:

Kardashian Beauty Black Seed Dry Oil – Travel Size – Bonus Item: This is an oil that is supposed to be used for your hair. I tried this just once and seemed to make my hair feel smooth, and it has no scent to it. Excited to try this more!

SCRATCH Nail Wraps – Full Size – $12: I haven’t used these yet, but I do like nail wraps, so I am excited to give these a try. I love that they have some gold, so they might be fun for fall or the holidays!

Chella Eyebrow Defining Gel – Full size – $18: I have never used a clear brow gel before (I use Benefit gimme brow which is tinted), but this is nice for those days when I just want my brows to stay put!

Previse Skincare Hydromilk Hydrating Lotion – Full Size – $48: This has a really nice scent to it and is very hydrating! I love that it has all natural ingredients as well!

Tarte SmolderEYES Amazonian Clay Waterproof Liner – Full Size – $22: I LOVE THIS! This color is kind of a plum/bronze (if that makes any sense)! I think it will be beautiful for fall, and I like that it has the smudger on the other end of the pencil!

Versant Professional Foundation Brush – Full Size – $32: First off, I don’t think I would ever pay $32 for a brush, and I really am not a fan of these brushes for applying my foundation. I will give it a try though!

Overall, I am pretty pleased with this month’s box! The grand total of this box is $132! Click here to check out Boxycharm if you haven’t already!

Let me know what you thought of September’s Boxycharm!!

Go-to summer makeup

Hi lovelies! I hope you are having a great day! It’s Saturday and the weather has been really nice lately. I want to share my go-to makeup for hot summer days! I like to keep it simple and as minimal as I can….I’m all about that lightweight, summer glow!

Base: I’m all about minimal face makeup, and I am loving NARS tinted moisturizer. It is the perfect sheer coverage, and as a bonus, it has spf (so perfect for summer!). Then I just add some concealer (my fave right now is Maybelline Fit Me Concealer)

Cheeks: Bronzer is my jam in the summertime! I love this shimmery bronzer from Milani in ‘Luminoso’. It gives such a beautiful bronzy glow to my cheeks! For blush, I used this Tarte Amazonian Clay blush in ‘Talented’ from a palette. It is a beautiful coral color for summer! To top that all off, I use a quick dusting of Stila’s All Over Shimmer Duo in ‘Kitten’.

EyesTo prime my lids, I use Mac Paint Pot in ‘Rubenesque’, a lovely gold/peach color. For shadow I used the 3 shades on the right side of the Tarte ‘Be Your Own Tarteist’ Palette. My eyeliner is Benefit’s Push-up Liner in brown, and mascara is Maybelline Lash Sensational. For brows, I just do a quick swipe with a tinted brow gel, like the ‘Gimme Brow’ from Benefit.

Lips: Keeping it super simple, I just used Mac’s ‘Coral Bliss’ which is a cremesheen finish so it gives just a beautiful sheer pop of color!

BOXYCHARM – March 2015

If you have never heard of Boxycharm, it is a monthly subscription box that contains 4-5 full size beauty products. The box costs $21/month and is worth every penny!!

Click here to check out Boxycharm!

IMG_3399 These are the products I received in my March Boxycharm this month! Each box has a theme, and this month is “Lucky Charm”…how perfect!!

LVX Nail Lacquer – $16.00: I have never tried this brand, but this is such a fun color and I can’t wait to wear it this spring! I got the color ‘lemon drop’…other charmers will get either ‘lemondrop’, ‘mynt’, or ‘deco’.

Ofra Eyeliner – $13.00: I got this eyeliner in the color ‘light beige’. I would probably never wear this on my upper lids, but I think it will look really nice in the lower water line. A light color (as opposed to black) helps to open up your eyes and make them look brighter. Excited to try this!

Previse Nutrify Universal Tonic – $48.00: I have not yet tried this out, but it is supposed to help hydrate skin. I will definitely be trying this out!

Tarte LipSurgence lip tint – $24.00: I have tried one of these before, and I love it! They go on so creamy and have a minty smell/taste. The color I got in my box is ‘charmed’ and it is the most perfect pink for spring!

Oscar Blandi Dry Shampoo – $11.00: I have never tried this brand either, but I do love dry shampoo! It is a lifesaver when I don’t want to wash my hair everyday! This has a nice smell to it too which I appreciate!

Total value: $112.00!! That’s insane!! Overall, I think this a great box! I love everything I got and can’t wait to try it all out!

Do you get Boxycharm? what did you think of this month’s box?!
