My first Colourpop!

IMG_3697

Hi everyone! So FINALLY I jumped on the bandwagon that is Colourpop! I just received my first order and wanted to share with you what I got, my thoughts, and some swatches!

The first thing I have is two of the LippieStix. I ordered “Brills” (left) and “Tootsi” (right). Tootsi is a matte finish, while Brills is considered a satin finish . I wore Tootsi all day yesterday and it definitely was matte, but not uncomfortably drying. It also seriously lasted all day, even through eating and drinking!

Next up is one of the Super Shock Cheek blushes in “Rain”. I took a huge leap of faith ordering this color, because it so different and outside of my comfort zone. But honestly I have so many blushes right now and wanted something unlike anything I already have. Once I got this and tried it out, I am so glad I chose this color! It is not nearly as scary as you might think…I love it! (continue to the end to see me wearing it).

This next item was launched the day I put it in my order….new highlighters! I got the color “Butterfly Beach” which is the perfect peach with gold shimmer. Being new to Colourpop, I am loving the formula…more creamy than a usual powder, but not totally cream.

Last (but certainly not least!) is a super shock eyeshadow in “Partridge”, which is a duo chrome finish with brown and green tones. Gorgeous!

I am so beyond happy with my purchases! After just one use, I am already loving the quality and staying power of these products, and the price just cannot be beat!

Let me know what some of your favorite colourpop products/colors are…I’m hoping to order some more soon and would love some recommendations!

That blush in Rain is quite intense! But it looks beautiful applied. I’m also quite interested in their highlighters – they really went all out and created a nice variety of highlighters which is unusual (most brands offer maybe 1 or 2 highlighter shades – a warm and a cool, and that’s it). It’s definitely on my radar to place an order with Colour Pop in the new year. (you may or my not know that I’m on a yearlong No-Buy… I mean, you’ve seen my blush stash now, you know it’ warranted!) šŸ˜› Thanks for linking me to your entry. I’ve followed your blog just now!
