NEW! From Wet N’ Wild

Hi everyone! I was recently perusing Walgreens when I came across a display of all new Wet N’ Wild products! So I decided to try out a few things. Everything looked so fun and summery that I couldn’t resist! So stay tuned to find out what I picked up and what I think about it!

The first thing that caught my eye was the liquid lipsticks. There was a whole line of metallic, bright colors. I picked up two of these, in “Coming up Roses” and “Peony Express”. I’ve used them a few times and I love the pigmentation! I wouldn’t say that they are transfer proof and they don’t dry down matte like some liquid lipsticks. But the colors and the metallic shimmer are so perfect for summer! Find them HERE

Top: Coming up Roses

Bottom: Peony Express

The next thing that caught my eye was the new highlighting sicks. They claim to be all-purpose, for face, skin and lips. So far I’m pretty impressed with this. I’ve only used it on my cheeks but it applies very smooth and creamy, and blends very nicely. There are three colors to choose from, and the one I chose is “Light up my high-biscus” Find them HERE.

The last thing I picked up was one of the MegaLast nail polishes (I’m now wishing I picked up more than one!). I chose the color “Poppy Culture” which is a pretty orange-red. I honestly didn’t have high hopes for the lasting power of this nail polish, but mostly liked the color. Boy, was I surprised! This lasted a good 4-5 days before it started chipping (normally my polish chips after a day or two, no matter what brand I use). So for $2, I was quite impressed by this! I may even pick up some more colors! Find them HERE.

I hope you enjoyed seeing what I recently picked up from Wet N Wild. I have to say I am pretty impressed with this collection and for the price, it cannot be beat!

I would love to know if you have tried any of the new products and what your thoughts are!

A New Subscription Unboxing!

Hi everyone! It has been a very long time since my last post, and I am so sorry for that! Before I dive into the new subscription box I am trying out, I want to mention that I have cancelled two of my previous subscription services. I decided to cancel Ipsy and Boxycharm because quite honestly I just felt like I was getting the same type of items over and over again and I wasn’t using half of the products I received. Once I cancelled, I thought “Oh, great, theres an extra $30 I’ll have each month”. AND THEN, I found this new subscription box, and of course, I caved. So let’s find out which one I’m talking about!

The Play! by Sephora box is $10 a month and you receive 5-6 items that can be found at Sephora. To check it out click HERE (p.s. it’s not a referral link, just wanted to share it for you!). That’s the first thing that intrigued me, because if you find something you love, you know where to get it. Unlike Ipsy or Boxycharm, sometimes you get brands you’ve never heard of and are hard to find. There is a waitlist with this box, but it didn’t take me too long before I was off of it! So far, I received just one box for the month of May, and want to show you wha type of products I got!

The box itself is super cute and has the typical black and white stripes of Sephora. When I opened the box, this is what I saw…a cute little bag inside!

Origins skin-optimizing mask primer – This came with the little spray bottle of the primer, and then two on-time-use masks to try it with! I haven’t tried this yet, but am curious to see how it makes my masks feel different!

Korres wild rose + vitamin C advanced brightening sleeping facial – This is another one that I haven’t used yet, but it smells so good! I can’t wait to try this out!

Tarte tarteist lip crayon in “Latergram” – this a very pretty neutral, nude-pink shade. It goes on very easily and is a great color to go with a lot of my lipstick shades!

Bite Beauty amuse bouche lipstick in “Kimchi” – I had been hearing a lot about these lipsticks, and was excited to see that I got one! The color is not something I would wear everyday, but as for the lipstick itself, it feels very creamy and nice on my lips, and has pretty decent lasting power as well!

Atelier orange sanguine cologne absolute pure perfume – I don’t really love perfume samples that come in this little bottle with no sprayer. But thats ok, they are good for the purse, and it allows you try out a scent. This is a very nice citrusy scent that is perfect for summer! So far, I’m liking it!

Briogeo Don’t despair, repair! deep conditioning mask – This is another one I have not tried yet, but I am curious to see how it works. I have very dry, frizzy hair, so I’m hoping this has good outcomes!

For my first month, I was pretty happy with the products I received! Some I’ve tried, and some I haven’t, but will be trying very soon!

I hope you enjoyed seeing this, and again, if you want to check this box out for yourself, click HERE.

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!

May IPSY Glam bag!

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you all had a good weekend! Do you have any plans for the weekend? I am so happy that finally we have some nice spring weather to enjoy! Today I am sharing my latest IPSY bag for the month of May! The theme this month is “Destination Chic” and its a cute theme and bag! Stay tuned to see what fun new products I got to try!

First off, how cute is the bag! I like that the style is a little different than the usual top zipper. The little flap makes for a cute detail!

Top: SOO AE – 3 Collagen Essence Sheet Masks: I have not tried these yet, but I love that they sent 3 instead of just 1. Having more uses of a product gives you a better idea of whether or not you like it. I am excited to try these out!

Left: Smashbox – X-Rated Mascara: I haven’t tried this one yet either, just because I don’t like to have too many mascaras open as once! But I am excited to try this. I have heard some reviews that it gives really great volume, so we will see!

Bottom: Pacifica – Natural Mineral Coconut Eye Shadow Trio: The three colors in this trio are so pretty and perfect for spring/summer! They are decently pigmented and look very pretty once applied!

BellaPierre – Nude Gel Lip Liner Pencil: This is the perfect everyday nude color and glides on so smooth and easily! I haven’t worn this a ton, but so far I like it!

Right: Etat Libre d’Orange – Remarkable People Fragrance: This has a nice scent to it! You can definitely smell the hint of orange/citrus, which makes for a a nice, clean, fresh scent for spring/summer! I also like that this actually has a little sprayer!

Alright, thats everything that came in my May Ipsy bag. I’m pretty with everything I received, and excited to use it all!

I would love to know if you received any of these items, and what your thoughts are!

Spring/Summer Fragrance

Hi everyone, welcome back! I’ve been planning on this post for a while, hoping the weather would warm up, but once again, today is a cool, dreary, rainy day 😦 But I  know the warm weather HAS to be on its way! So today I am sharing my favorite fragrances for spring and summer! When it comes to fragrance, I am usually drawn to woody scents that are more suitable for fall and winter, but I have three fragrances that I am obsessed with for summer season! All three are very different, and maybe this will help you if you are looking for a new scent!

Bobbi Brown “Beach” – This scent could not have been more perfectly named. It literally smells like a day at the beach. I know some people do not like this scent because it has a “suntan lotion” type of smell, but that is what I love! The main notes are: jasmine, sea spray, and mandarin. I just love this scent, and its perfect for a vacation, or just a hot summer day! This was the only scent I took on a recent vacation to Jamaica and it was perfect to spray on night and I smelled like I had just spent the day at the beach (which I had) 🙂

Clinique “Happy in Bloom” – This scent is very different than the first one. This is more of a floral (as the name implies). The notes are: Yellow Plum, Watery Green Notes, White Freesia. I love this scent because it is very clean and fresh with a little bit of floral. Perfect for a spring day and perfect for everyday wear.

Philosophy “Pure Grace Summer” – Now this one seems like it may be similar to Bobbi Brown “Beach”, but where that one smells like a “beach day”, this one captures more of a “summer day”. It is not sunscreen smelling, which some people may prefer. But you still get a slight hint of coconut mixed with almost a fruity and fresh smell. (This one is so hard to describe!). The notes are: Bergamot, Coconut Water, Citron Zest, Dune Rose, Cocoa Absolute, Solar Musk, Sandalwood, Vanilla.

So those are my three favorite scents for spring/summer! I know everybody has different tastes, but these are just some ideas if you are looking for a new fragrance! Another tip I want to point out is that if you are unsure of a scent, check to see if it comes in a rollerball or travel spray. I often buy scents in the rollerball if I want to try out a fragrance before splurging on the full size, or also because they are handing for your purse/travel bag. And also, lets be honest, how often do we go through a full size fragrance!?

I hope you enjoyed this post, have a great weekend!

April Favorites

Hi everyone! First off, I just want to say that I am sorry for not keeping up with my blog as well as I would have liked! I have so many things going on right now, that I think for the time being, my posts will be limited to once or twice a week. I hope you can understand, and I promise to pick back up when my life allows! So for now, I want to share what I have been loving in the month of April. I don’t have a ton of products to show you, but quite frankly I have had too much going on to experiment a whole lot. But I have found a few staple products that have not let me down this month!

Pantene Pro-V Smooth Heat Protecting Spray – I had recently used up my current heat protector, and I wanted to try something different. I have really been enjoying this one! It smells so delicious and I feel like it really does protect my hair when I’m straightening/curling it.

Philosophy Pure Grace Summer – This perfume is like summer in a bottle! I can’t quite describe the scent, but its floral and fresh with a hint of coconut. When I compare it to my other favorite summer perfume (Bobbi Brown, Beach), this perfume isn’t as in your face BEACH as the other one. So if you don’t like the smell of sunscreen, this may be more for you!

Milk Makeup Matte Bronzer in “Baked” – I got this in a mini size that came in a set that I purchased during the sale because I wanted to try a few things out from the new brand. Well out of the whole set, this has been my favorite! I have a ton of bronzers, but what I love is that it is a cream, which is good for my already dry skin. I also love how easy this is to apply. With the stick form, I literally just draw it on where I want it, and blend! it blends so easily and the color is perfect for me. It gives me just the right amount of color, without looking too fakey bronze!

Candie’s Ghillie Lace-Up Flats – I am obsessed with these shoes! I know they are all the trend right now, and I needed to get in on it for myself! These are the pair I found (pretty inexpensive) and I love them! They are actually more comfortable than they look, and I feel like they are the perfect detail to any outfit, even just jeans and a tee!

I hope you enjoyed seeing what I loved during April! Have you tried any of these? Do you have a favorite from this month that I need to check out? 😉

Lace-Up Flats

Hi everyone! Welcome back 🙂 So lace-up flats are a huge trend right now, and I finally found a pair that I love! I’ve been having fun finding new outfits to wear them with, and I’ve found that they really are quite versatile! So I’ve put together a few looks that show how simple it is to wear these adorable flats! They can easily be dressed up or down, and my particular pair are super comfy, even after a day of walking around! See the pair I got HERE (very affordable!).

1). A more casual/boho look. These flats give a simple jeans/tee outfit just the right amount of style!

2). A dress option. I think a solid/simple dress is all you need because of the detail in the flats. Paired with a cute handbag and some fun jewelry, this is super cute for spring!

3). A more feminine/dressed up option. I think the white and baby pink are so adorable and girly, especially with the lace-up detail in the shoes.

I love all of these styles, and am loving my new flats!

April Boxycharm

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a great week! Today I am sharing my latest Boxycharm. The theme for April is “Cloudy with a chance of charms”. Kind of perfect for April, which has proven to be a rainy month where I live. So once again, I have five new goodies to try out for spring, and these look pretty promising!

blinc Cosmetics Black Lash Primer – $26: I am really excited to have this. I have recently enjoyed lash primers, but I have never liked the white ones (they always end up showing through). So I am glad this one is a black formula!

Anderson Lilley Manhattan Beach Hand Cream – $24: This hand cream is super moisturizing and it smells so great. Its hard to describe but it just smells like a clean, outdoor type of smell. Very nice!

Pur-lisse Lip Comfort – $16: This smells really nice and I really want to love it, but it is really runny/liquidy and I feel like it just makes a mess all over my lips!

Your Minerals Eye Shadow – $21: I don’t use loose eyeshadow a whole lot, but this color is so beautiful, so I will have to play around with it! It’s a dark taupe/purple color and has the right amount of shimmer!

Ofra Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick – $19.90: I have gotten one of these in previous boxes, but I LOVE this color! It is “pasadena”, which is a nice mauve/brown. But not too dark, it is perfect for everyday!

I hope you enjoyed seeing what I got this month from Boxycharm! Let me know if you got this month’s box and what you thought of it!
